Determine the configuration of the lock you are replacing, then choose from four \u003cstrong\u003ebackset\u003c\/strong\u003e options and two \u003cstrong\u003edeadbolt throw\u003c\/strong\u003e lengths.\n\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\n  Backset lengths:\n\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n    35mm (1-3\/8 inches)\n  \u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n    45mm (1-3\/4 inches)\n  \u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n    60mm (2-3\/8 inches)\n  \u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n    70mm (2-3\/4 inches)\n  \u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\n  Standard deadbolt throw is 1 inch, but a half-inch deadbolt throw is available upon request.  \n\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\n  Due to the way this is manufactured, you can use this to replace an HLS9000 Hoppe lock assembly containing a 16mm or 20mm faceplate width.  \n  \u003cbr\u003e\n  \u003cbr\u003e\n  Measurements for backset and deadbolt throw are measured from the faceplate. When viewing measurement photos, consider that these \u003ci\u003elock case only\u003c\/i\u003e parts do \u003cstrong\u003enot\u003c\/strong\u003e have the 2mm faceplate attached.\n\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\n  \u003cstrong\u003eTo replace your lock case:  \u003c\/strong\u003eRemove lock case from lower assembly, save upper and lower faceplate extensions.\n\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\n  Step-By-Step Instructions:\n\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003col style=\"list-style-type:decimal;\"\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n    Remove existing lock case from upper and lower extensions. #3 Tri-Wing Bit\n  \u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n    Attach lower extension to new lock case.\n  \u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n    Attach upper extension to new lock case.\n  \u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n    Re-install multipoint lock assembly back in door with initial screws to hold in place.\n  \u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n    Test the lock is working properly (push in mis-handing latch to operate lock)\n  \u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n    If lock is working properly, finish installing installation screws. Do not over tighten; snug is good.\n  \u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n    Install handle set and key cylinder.\n  \u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n    Before closing door, test the lock again to be sure all locking points are extending and retracting properly.\n  \u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n    Close door and secure in locked position.\n  \u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n    If you have the spring latch facing the wrong direction, pull it out and spin it around.
