This lock actuator is located underneath the inside escutcheon plate. It is held into place with 2 screws and a limiting plate. When the dead bolt knob on the escutcheon plate is turned it rotates the actuator which locks the dead bolt.

The lock actuator is used on Andersen Frenchwood hinged and outswing patio doors. It is held in place with a limiting plate and two screws. This part activates the thumb turn lock. If the thumb turn spins this is likely the component needing to be replaced.
