The Original California Classic had a large round bore on the outside to accommodate a 1 inch cylinder
The Replacement will have the handle above and an Euro Profile cylinder below

Old California Classic Dimensions:
Escutcheon Plate Width: 2 inches ( 50mm)
Escutcheon Plate Length: 8-3/4 inches ( 222mm)

Lock Body, Faceplate Width: 1-1/16 (26.9mm)
Lock Body, Faceplate Length: 8-1/4 inches (209.5mm)

Replacement Hardware includes lock body and Handle set Trim with keyed cylinder
