Fuhr 2 Roller Automatic Version with 37 Inch Handle Height - Discontinued
Used on SNE, Vetter and Crestline doors
Bottom Roller: 29.53 inches down from Handle
Top Roller: 28.74 inches up from Handle
Handle Height: 37 inches
Faceplate Width: 5/8 inch (16mm)
Backset: 1-3/8 inch (35mm)
Deadbolt throw: 25/32 inch (20mm)
FUHR overall length: around 77 inches -- depends on particular door / manufacturer
2 Replacement Options:
1. 4990200 - HOPPE roller-style multipoint lock: easiest replacement: this replacement kit has the same roller positions as original FUHR lock and roller strikes will not need to be moved; deadbolt strike will need to be moved up or down or modified to fit new deadbolt and spring latch; kit fits locks from 67.91 inches to 78.75 inches and will likely need to be trimmed with a hacksaw to fit door
2. 4990275 - HOPPE roller / shootbolt multipoint lock: this replacement kit has the same bottom roller position as original FUHR lock; top roller strike will be left unused. Deadbolt strike will need to be moved up or down or modified to fit new deadbolt and spring latch; kit fits locks from 76.61 inches to 80.55 inches and will likely need to be trimmed with a hacksaw to fit door; hole for socket strike will need to be drilled in top of door jamb
NOTE: Both replacement kits are designed for 36 inch handle height; when used as a replacement for the FUHR 37 inch, the metal faceplate of a HOPPE replacement will be 1 inch shorter, leaving a gap at bottom of door panel.
This gap can usually be filled with the cutoff from top extension, if desired.
NOTE 2: Both replacements operate manually--when door is closed, lock will NOT automatically lock as original FUHR lock does.
