This assures alignment of lock bolt into keeper and, when locked, resists unauthorized entry by outside manipulation of sliding panel to disengage lock hook.
Hook Retracts: Retracts to unlocked position if the door is closed with the hook extended. Prevents damage to keeper and lock assembly.
