NOTE:
This lock does not have a receptacle for a spring latch and must be used with an Astragal
Active door deadbolt enters receiving hole in face of inactive lock but only when inactive handles have been lifted and shootbolts engaged.
When handles of inactive lock are turned up and shootbolts engaged, the mechanism in the receiver hole lifts up allowing the deadbolt to fit inside.
Unless passive door is shut and shootbolts engaged, active door cannot be locked.
