Original Hardware Specs:
Hole Spacing: 5-1/2 inches (between spring and deadbolt latch)
Backset: 1-3/4 inches.
Old Lock used a standard 5 pin tumbler Schlage SC1 Keyway.

Lock and handle set can be replaced with modifications.
Requires changing to a Single Point Mortise lock 
1. Cutting out a 5/8" by 9-1/4" hole in door edge for mortise lock with 1-3/4 inch backset 
2. Drilling holes for new handle set trim, 3-5/8 inch centers
3. Changing strike plate on door jamb
