EGRESS INFO:

Basically, The operable portion of the window must be at least 24-inches high and at least 20-inches wide, with a net area at least 5.7 square feet, with an opening no higher than 44 inches from the floor. Check local codes for more information.
Amesbury Truth ‘egress’ hardware essentially stays tucked in close to the jamb, with minimal ‘pivoting’ towards the center of the unit—thereby creating a greater net-opening width.
Egress hinge provides Approximately 2-5/8 inch wider opening to meet some code requirements on Emergency Exit.
