75 Series Non-Tilt Spiral Window Balance

3/8" Diameter Tube – Standard or Extended Rod

Measure your tube size, overall rod size, and rod hole center spacing. Identify the color of the bearing you need.

Standard rod will be 9/16 inch longer than the tube; Extended rod will be 1-9/16 inches longer than the tube. For example, a 35 inch tube could have either a standard rod of 35-9/16 inches or an extended rod of 36-9/16 inches. In other words, the extended version's overall length is always 1 inch longer than the standard version's overall length.

Used primarily on aluminum metal non-tilt windows. Requires a 75-500/501/502/503 bracket attached to the bottom of the sash.

<p>The metal tube has a mill/raw finish, but may be available in a white or black tube upon special request. Please contact customer service to inquire about special orders as they may have minimum order or non-returnable/non-refundable stipulations.</p><h3>Compatible Accessories:</h3><ul><li><strong>Carrier Brackets: </strong> 75-500 (already attached to this item), 75-501, 75-502, 75-503</li><li><strong>Balance Cap: </strong> 74-505</li><li><strong>Balance Screw: </strong> 20-002</li><li><strong>Rivets: </strong> 75-504, 75-505</li><li><strong>Vent Guide: </strong> 75-507W</li></ul><p>The difference between the <i>74 Series</i> and <i>75 Series</i> balances is the distance from center-to-center between the two holes at the end of the spiral rod. The <i>74 Series</i> has a half inch spacing, while these <i>75 Series</i> balances have a 9/32 inch spacing.</p><p>If a window tilts in and the balance has two pins, you may need an <i>83 Series</i> or <i>85 Series</i> balance instead.</p><h3>Tensioning Notes:</h3><p>The appropriate tensioning tools are Strybuc 70-515 and 70-516.<br /><br />Contact customer service if you would like a pre-tensioned balance with a rod length 1-7/8" longer than the tube by manufacturer's specifications; this would require a special order on a non-returnable basis.</p><p>If you have a pre-tensioned balance and want to use a standard <i>75 Series</i> balance, order a 1-inch longer balance with a standard rod. For example, if you already have a pre-tensioned 34 inch balance with a green bearing, you would order the 75-S35G, which would be 75-S-500-TL35-G with a 75-500 carrier bracket attached.</p>
