Cylinder Removal: Key is needed to remove cylinder

The cam in the center of lock freely rotates from the 10- 2 position after installed in the door.

( see image # 1 and # 2 )

1. With the door unlocked, Insert Key into cylinder

2. Insert Wire tool provided with cylinder ( or paperclip ) into top of slot closest to square shaft.

3. Pull down on spring loaded slot until the thumbturn shaft (or Key) rotates either direction 1/4 turn ( see # 3 )

Note that the square shaft is on the diamond.

4. Rotate another 1/4 turn, in same direction until the shaft is on the Diamond. ( See #4 )

Note: the shaft has changed from square to diamond when removing or installing the cylinder.
